Deconstructed tailoring in a quiet palette — garments built from asymmetry, raw edges and the seams left showing.

How Sweet It Was

The looks

Look one — white leather jacket with scalloped hem over a long black skirt.
Look two — grey wool jacket with oversized buttons over cream running-stitch trousers.
Look four — black wool capelet over a corseted cream bodice and denim culottes.
Look five — pleated black camisole with tie sleeves over wide cuffed denim.

About

Clothes that show their construction

Sage Nakamoto is a fashion designer working in womenswear. Her work sits in a narrow palette — black, cream, grey, raw indigo — so that shape and construction carry the idea instead of colour.

Hems fall away on a diagonal. Panels wrap and tie rather than close. Topstitching runs in contrast thread where a seam would usually disappear. The result is tailoring that reads as considered up close and quiet from across a room.
